 I heard The Icarus Line was one badass band that made other hardcore bands sound like wussies. But nothing could prepare me for Mono, a non-stop blast of screaming vocals, screeching guitars, and pounding rhythms. The band brings new meaning to the word intense - and I truly mean that. Unlike other hardcore bands who play fast and furious but seem to lack something, The Icarus Line plays with passion, fast and furious, creating wicked sounds that are so blistering hot you can't even get close or the heat that is evaporating off of them will singe you.If I could find words to describe how powerful this album really is, things would be easier right now. High-octane doesn't come close to the meaning of this disc. This is the one album this year that will kick the living shit out of you time and time again, no matter how many times you've heard it. Forget your metal bands and forget other hardcore acts, this album takes the cake. I'll give it an A+.
