Cry Baby Cry

Female fronted power-pop-rawk music that invokes memories of am radio pop and straight up guitar rock, Cry Baby Cry uses both influences to drive their infectious, melodic, crunchy songs. From the guitar-rock of songs like "Monkey's Darling" and "The Fast-Assed Sumbitchie" to the rock that starts out tranquil and builds of "Chemical Castration" through the quirky interlude of "Radiator", Cry Baby Cry manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. They give you what you expect, until you expect it, and then they turn the tables on you. But, don't be afraid. They always come back to the rock, as "Calling Out", a balls-to-the-wall full-throttle number, attests to. I'll give this an A-.
