 Pop Unknown's The August Division is a rock record, yet it has its emo moments, spinning emotive vocals alongside sad, oft-sparking guitars. Reeling you in with well-written lyrics, the band's songwriting is that of a band that started out emo but is learning to expand their horizons and progress beyond a singular tag, with the lyrics as the selling point. Able to tell a story and have the listener care about the feelings of both the band and the characters in their songs, Pop Unknown's complete package is solid. I'll give The August Division a B.
