Nicotine Samurai Shot (Asian Man Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Japan's pop-punk quartet Nicotine deliver a fast, non-stop assault of melodic, hook-y punk on Samurai Shot. From catchy "ooh" backing vocals to the clean-cut, well-produced presentation of the songs through the backbreaking speed at which these kids play, Nicotine comes to the front of the pop-punk class as one of its prized pupils. This is what pop-punk should be - infectious, fun, loud, and fast. You'll find yourself singing along and tapping your feet in no time. I'll give it a B+.
