Shut Up You Fucking Baby! (Sub Pop)

 I love David Cross; he's quite funny and well, Mr. Show was genius. But, his latest comedy album, a two-disc set entitled Shut Up You Fucking Baby!, the first comedy release on Sub Pop (yes, the label best known for their 'grunge'), is too inconsistent to be a winner. It has some damn funny bits, but, overall, is bogged down by swearing for filler, a technique Cross employs to get the crowd pumped up as they have fun and forget what they're hearing. Too bad, too, because David Cross really is a brilliant comedian, he just seems better suited for a script than stand up. I'll give this a C.
