 Dark piano pop with strings and horns, Saeta's Resign To Ideal, led by the Tom Waits-esque vocals of pianist Matt Menovcik, and backed up by the sweet siren of Lesli Wood, is a hair-raising, deeply rich collection of moving songs. This is the type of record you put on once and don't forget, putting on ever now and then to entertain friends, or to remember the feeling you got when you first listened to it. It is a keeper, a record about longevity more than the instant hook. I'll give it a B.
