Bright, bubbling melodies placed alongside tender emotions, brought together by a knack for clever, catchy pop-rock, Wes Cunningham's latest, Pollyanna, is a pop treasure. The type of timeless craftsmanship that seems to never go out of style. Whether hard rock or teenie-bop is all the rage, there always seems to be an audience for solid songwriting like this, for musicians that can write effortless harmonies and melodies with as much passion and soul as they have hooks. Cunningham manages to pull all of this off, writing songs about love and loss, his relationship with his wife and friends, and his dedication to his work. I'll give it an A-.
