Round Up (Cargo Music)

 Recalling their favorite true and blue country records, Southern California's rowdy country-punk band Speedbuggy USA have recorded an EP filled with their most straight forward country songs. Round Up is six songs of traditional country at its finest, still infused with the piss and vinegar mentality of the other bands songs. Johnny Cash's "Drive On" and Merle Haggard's "Swingin' Doors" get a new life when Speedbuggy USA attempts them. The result, two crying-in-your-beer anthems to belly up to the bar while you fall into your drink and sink into the songs. I'll give it a B.
