Cut The Shit
Bored to Death 7" (Gloom Records)

By: Jeb Branin

This 7" ended up in my mitts through a short series of mail order misadventures (a story I won't bore you with, but I will say that you shouldn't ever hesitate to order direct from Gloom Records, they take care of their customers!) When I got it I had absolutely no idea what to expect but I certainly wasn't prepared for this! The raging hardcore on this record rips and tears like a rabid pitbull in a litter of kittens. CUT THE SHIT play oldschool hardcore that is an equal mix of the viciousness of early Boston hatecore, the passion of early NYHC, and the superior songstyling of early D.C. harDCore. Lyrically the band focuses primarily on battling boredom and phoniness. It is beyond my comprehension that any fan of hardcore wouldn't be blown away by CUT THE SHIT.
