Marduk World Funeral (Regain/The End) By: Jeb Branin
![](/images/sep.gif)
Having been around for over a decade, it is good to hear that MARDUK are as virulent and violent in their approach to death/black metal as ever. No "atmospheric" experiments, no "gothic" soundscapes, no "ethereal" crap of any kind can be found on this album. I can't stand their cartoonish corpse paint and "more-satanic-than-thou" silliness, but when it comes to the musical cyclone, they do just about everything right. Possessed vocals, shattering rhythms, hyperblasting guitars... Fans of the truly extreme will be satisfied.
