Virgil Shaw Still Falling (Future Farmer Recordings) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
A fanciful pop-rock collection, Virgil Shaw stands tall as one of the nation's most underrated singer-songwriters with his sophomore full-length, Still Falling. It is a laid-back, piano filled record that bridges strong lyrics with playful melodies and serene, almost ballad-esque melodies that become much more at the hands of Shaw's gruff, gin-soaked voice. It's a truly warming, rich collection of pop prowess and lyrical depth lacking from a lot of music today. I'll give it a B+.
