 Jeff Black's B-Sides and Confessions Volume 1 is a collection of sparsely produced, acoustic (both guitar and piano) songs that strip away any and all studio fabrications to give us a true light into Black's world. Tender, rustic Americana with heart and soul and an overall sense of delicate pop. Black's songwriting is unfazed by the world around him as he sings from the heart and gives you forty-six minutes of himself, forty-six solid minutes of music that makes you think, makes you smile, and makes you feel good about life. I'll give it a B-.
