Hex Angel (Metropolis Records)

By: Jett Black

Following closely upon the heels of releasing the Pretty Toy single, Bryan Erickson now unleashes 11 soul-shrieking tracks filled with eerie samples inside Hex Angel..., the fifth VAC album. VAC sends each listener spiraling down through an artistic imitation of life ("Hypoxia") on an auditory journey to The Twilight Zone. The pulsating sonic hammer punctuating spoken samples of "Misery" will devastate any audience. Compulsive collectors (VAC fanatics) will devour horrific graphics inside the 18 page booklet. Audiophiles must wear out the rewind and repeat features. Boot-stomping floor defenders will rave like lunatic children for "Dead Tomorrow". Taking a sudden celestial turn with "Eva", VAC provides a light interlude leading toward an "Exit" partitioning the "Diseased World" from the fragility of your own reality. (A+)
