 Hailing from the state which spawned hardcore metal specialists Hatebreed, the five guys that comprise 100 Demons share a lot in common with Jamey Jasta's crew. They both share a producer in Zeuss, an obvious lust for metalcore, and dually deliver gritty, hard-hitting accounts of the darker side of life, from backstabbing to abandonment. 100 Demons are convincing, as this quintet has the tough guy spiel down to a science, undoubtedly feeding off of a steady stream of NYHC and death metal for inspiration. This nine-track disc contains punishing riffs, brutal breakdowns, and venomous lyrics which (scarily enough) aren't afraid to convey the cold hatred some people possess. Prepare yourself first, then feel the pain 100 Demons bring.
