Bill Janovitz and Crown Victoria
Fireworks on TV! (Q Division)

 Buffalo Tom front man Bill Janovitz, along with backing band Crown Victoria, has unleashed a strong, melodic rock record with Fireworks On TV!. Including the story of Mary Kay Letourneau (the schoolteacher that got pregnant from a 12-year old student, and went on to serve prison time), "Mary Kay", it alone is a reason to check out the record. But, fortunately for the listener, Janovitz doesn't stop there and delivers fourteen other tracks. Each blending Americana and pop into an American rock record that would make Springsteen proud. This is lyrically strong, compelling songs with the hooks to back it all up. I'll give it an A-.
