Call and Response
Tiger Teeth (Badman Recordings Co.)

 Originally recorded as demos for Emperor Norton in 2002, when the label let the band's contract lapse and didn't option another record, Call and Response left and eventually released Winds Take No Shape on Badman Recording Co. However, Badman thought the six songs should be released to fans and since Call and Response owned the masters (due to their contract expiring), the songs were released as the Tiger Teeth EP. More sunshine pop than Winds Take No Shape, the record showcases Call and Response's abilities to create groove-laden, danceable, bright pop songs with gorgeous female vocals and hooks-a-plenty. Fans of retro-gone-modern-gone-retro will thoroughly enjoy this. I'll give it a B.
