Senor Happy I'm Sorry (Q Division) By: Alex Steininger
Polished, radio-ready, slightly power-pop tinted rock songs, Senor Happy's I'm Sorry delivers a record that could, by all means, get on the radio and have a hit. Though, as the story goes, it's not. Most likely to the album's benefit anyhow. The songs are strong, well produced, and full of juice, but under extreme heat may melt. They are the type of songs you can put on for awhile, put away, and bring back and enjoy, singing along to them. But, the minute you over listen to it (such would be the case if it were played out on the radio), the songs seem to lose their value and grow old and tiresome. But, with a few quieter, softer songs to keep the highs high and the lows low, Senor Happy knows about contrast and keeps the record flowing smoothly because of it. I'll give it a B-.
