 My previous exposure to NASUM was limited to their split 7" with PSYCHO on Fudgeworthy Records. As good as that record was, this new 38 track CD makes it pale in comparison. NASUM have managed to capture an intensity and maniacal presence in their music that rivals the output the finest bands in the genre. Hyper-fierce riffs and spastic blast beats combine classic grind heaviness with the overkill insanity that marks 90s style power violence. The band has been trimmed to only two artists, whose apparent symbiotic musical approach creates a seemlessly tight sound. Destined to be a "Year's Best" pick.
