 Ugh. This is totally insipid adult contemporary pop. Efforts to be smooth come across as bland. Efforts to be dreamy come across as lost. Efforts to be catchy are bland. Background music at best. Elevator tunes at worst. Mellow is okay in my book, limp is not. The execution of the tunes is flawless but the songs themselves are real snoozers. Duncan Sheik needs to infuse his band with another songwriter or two. One that can capitalize on this talent going to waste.
