Hip-hop with flare, Dalvin Degrate breaks away from the stale taste of today's hip-hop by implementing electronica grooves, simmering R&B, and by stressing these grooves rather than downplaying them with over-wrought lyrics or tasteless beats that are so pretentious you're unable to sense where they're coming from.
Met.A.Mor.Phic could be called the savior of hip-hop in 2000. With everyone doing the same thing twice over, Degrate's style and sense of a good groove melted over velvet-y lyrics seems like the much needed kick-in-the-ass hip-hop needs to break out of its tasteless mold. I'll give it a B.
