The Vigilantes No Destiny (TKO Records) By: Alex Steininger The Vigilantes: tight, punchy punk with plenty to say; a band that, although they can play fast, '77 style punk and get you dancing to their melodies, still doesn't cut it, because the vocals sound like they have a mouth full of marbles.
As much as I wanted to like this band, the vocals just were so overly annoying. The snarl was came from the back of the throat instead of the gut. Either that or the guy was singing with something in his mouth. I just couldn't dig it. I'll give it a C-.
