Leatherface The Last (BYO Records) By: Alex Steininger
Beer-buzzed, acid-dazed punk rock, Leatherface are as bloody and rough as they come. But for some reason, they seem so un-attached from their music. The songs are powerful and loud, but they just don't seem to have any life to them. They come across and dead. You can't believe a note they play. It's as if they've been doing for so long they just grew tired and gave up, trying to mask it with loud guitars and lots of fast playing. But it just didn't do it for me. I'll give it a D+.
