Bev Bev (Fat Pill Messiah) By: Alex Steininger
Comfortable, no-risks pop music with shiny hooks and clean cut vocals; Bev delivers a top-40 pop record with an enjoyable, warm flow to it. The songs are all put together nicely, not a note out of place. Though it is this controlled, predictability that hurts them as well. The album is too clean, too nice to really go anywhere. It just stands still and doesn't try to persuade or win you over. It's content being background music. However, when you're in the mood, the less-than-dangerous pop songs hit the spot. I'll give it a C.
