Old time folk played with lo-fi pop flair, Fifty Eight Now Nine comes across as a solid collection of sad drinking songs; memorable pieces of delicate acoustic guitar and whispery vocals to fill the air. And softly, slowly crafted intimate portraits into a man more than capable at creating lo-fi folk music that will remain vital for quite some time. I'll give it an A-. 15
