In Flames The Tokyo Showdown - Live in Japan 2000 (Nuclear Blast) By: Jeb Branin
For fans of the band this is going to be a mammoth release - which assumes they want overproduced live versions of IN FLAMES classics. Unfortunately I really don't care for IN FLAMES anymore. Their re-invention of death metal into something more melodic and palatable by the masses was intriguing and interesting initially but I reached my saturation point a long time ago and anymore IN FLAMES just sounds like wankering to me. The fact this "live" album does little to capitalize on the raw energy of the live setting and sounds more like a studio album than anything else are just additional nails in the coffin as far as I am concerned.
