 A striking, crushing follow-up to their Roadrunner debut, Iowa, Slipknot's latest is an intense, complete melt down attack of sonic metal. From the bruising rhythm section to the gut-wrenching guitars, the music hits you right in the head out of the gate, and never lets up. Growling, vehement vocals dominate the storm, providing screams and bloody yelps. This is one of the most intense albums of the year, hands down. A complete massacre of instrumentation flying at you in one triumphant swoop; I'll give it an A.
