Bardo Pond Dilate (Matador Records) By: Alex Steininger
Layered soundscapes create dreamy sequences, where space and melody work together, creating an atmospheric plain that you will soon find yourself on, elevated up there by the band's ability to play soft, agile songs or noisy, explosive numbers fueled by guitars upon guitars. This is one of Bardo Pond's best albums to date, an intricate, well-thought collection of both abrasive and quiet tunes, as well as a mixture of both in the same song, that will fill your body with a warm sensation sure to please. I'll give this an A.
