 Next up in Pinecastle's yearly instrumental bluegrass series is Bluegrass 2001, another collection of some of the best players performing top-notch acoustic bluegrass. Featuring Jeff Autry, Wayne Benson, John Cowan, Randy Kohrs, Jim VanCleve, and Scott Vestal, the band plays bluegrass like it's never been played before, including "2001 A Space Odyssey," an eerie, swampy bluegrass number that rounds out the record nicely. There are actually thirteen tracks on here (one bonus track), which makes it an extra special instrumental bluegrass disc sure to warm your heart. I'll give it an A-.
