Peggy Honeywell Honey for Dinner (Galaxia) By: Alex Steininger
A delicate mixture of pop and rootsy-folk, as well as some old-time country, Peggy Honeywell connects the dots from early American music tradition to the present, giving everything a lo-fi twist to it. From the downright weird cover of "All Shook Up", an awkward, somewhat out-of-place rendition that somehow she makes work, to the jangle of "Red Light Runnin Baby", her and her guitar create rootsy, lo-fi pop that holds on. I'll give it a B.
