Face to Face
How To Ruin Everything (Vagrant Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Punk rock trio Face to Face have released their best album to date, How To Ruin Everything, a fierce attack of lightening fast guitars, pounding drums, and dynamite bass. Relentless from the word go, the band cruises through fifteen songs in forty six minutes, only giving you time to breath on the final track, the title track, "How To Ruin Everything". An acoustic piece that concentrates on melody and the lyrics rather than energy and power, Face to Face front man Trevor Keith proves that he doesn't have to hide behind the noise to get his point across and is successful in whatever format he chooses. Simply put, this is a strong collection of fourteen punk songs that will knock you on your ass and one acoustic number that will make you want to sit down, rest, catch your breath and eventually sing along. I'll give it an A.
