Black Knight

 With Martin Lawrence, it's hit or miss. If the script is funny, he usually won't cock it up. Now, knowing the premise...wisecracking black man gets timewarped back to medieval times...and giving some weight to a bit of gossip (that one of the Chrises...Rock or Tucker...was offered the lead role in Black Knight and turned it down, hence Lawrence's involvement), it's an easy pass. However, if you're looking for some mindless, reasonably entertaining Sunday night fodder, this is a good candidate for a rental...-after it's relocated from New Releases to general selection. C+
