Red Animal War / Slowride

 From the standard emo of Red Animal War to the pop-punk-rock charge of Slowride this EP can get a bit bogged down. The EP starts off with a song from Red Animal War ("'77"), which just doesn't make the grade, and is immediately followed by Slowride's energetic "Jesus Candle", a song that starts quite a spark in those looking for solid rock. The remaining four songs then go back and forth between Red Animal War and Slowride, with R.A.W. always disappointing and Slowride hitting the rock mark. I'll give this a C-.
