Burmese 8 Track Live Bootleg [Double Cassette box] (Enterruption) By: Jeb Branin
Okay, this is a good one. Enterruption Records has created an unplayable BURMESE two-cassette set and then limited it to only a handful of copies (it is, after all, unplayable). Here is what you get: A double cassette box with hand screened and hand numbered two-color covers. Complete track listings and credits for the music you can't hear. Two cassettes, each with the tape mechanisms glued in place. Then each is completely painted over with what looks like house paint, one blue and one is white. Then a square of hand-cut copper foil is glued over the spindle wheels so it can't be loaded into a tape player (just in case). The tapes do actually have music on them, there is just no way to play it short of tearing the whole thing apart unspooling the tape and respooling it into a new cassette (and who would do that to this collector-dork wet dream?). If you want to hear BURMESE at their best while you sit and stare at your unplayable tape check them out at www.mp3.com/burmese.
