"Restoration of Beauty" is more strait forward with the same stripped down musical structure.
The Lesser Birds of Paradise's "Josephine" is an upper tempo pop flavored indie tune with a good motion to the bass laying down a foundation with catchy hooks built on top and a vocal style like Time Spent Driving. "Boy" builds into a Lemonheads' sound, having more of the guitar and bass related to a real rock song, yet still has that pop sound . It's a catchy tune. I feel this EP is a great teaser for the sound of both bands and I look forward to hearing more from them in the future. Rating: C+
Jared Grabb's "My heart Does Not Travel" is a stripped down guitar ballad that feels like a Billy Brags tune. The off center vocal arrangement is intriguingly confusing if distracting at times.
