Young Liars (Touch and Go Records)

 Visual artists and musicians, core duo Tunde Adebimpe (vocalist) and David Andrew Sitek (multi-instrumentalist/producer) create a sonic explosion on Young Liars TV on the Radio's debut, a four-song EP on Touch and Go Records that showcases the Brooklyn-based band's chops. A collection of atmospheric rock, electronics, and post-punk mayhem, the band creates happy noises, fucking with your mind and then coming at you with all they've got. Loud at times, and a complete mind fuck during others, the intricate, unpredictable journey of these four songs (five if you could the bonus track), make Young Liars an unforgettable journey, an exploration of sounds, textures, and the inner workings of both your mind and theirs. I'll give it a B.
