The Bronx The Bronx (White Drugs) By: Alex Steininger
On their eponymous, self-titled debut, Southern California rockers The Bronx prove why, after only a handful of dates (and no releases), they inked a deal with major Island Records. Released on their own label, White Drugs, to prove to Island that they can do stuff on their own before they release their major label debut, the rock 'n' roll quartet delivers the goods with ten songs in under thirty minutes. Focused around screaming vocals, biting guitars, and an ass-whopping rhythm section, The Bronx don't pander to any one crowd, offering something hardcore kids, punk rockers, and rock 'n' roll purists alike will embrace and worship. This is heart pounding, blood pumping, fierce, and ferocious rock 'n' roll. Yes, the way it fucking should be. I'll give it an A-.
