 Constantines' Shine A Light, their second full-length, and first for Sub Pop, showcases the band's versatile indie rock sound. From agitated rockers through quirky, building pieces that, though less energetic than their rock counterparts, set you up for the forthcoming rock numbers to bulldoze their way through you. Shine A Light finds the band making a niche for themselves, delivering indie-rock with a post-punk mindset, shaking it up and going against the norm enough to create a uniquely fresh sound, making their own rules at times, but still keeping within the mindset. I'll give it an A-.
