 Stephen O'Malley (of KHANTE) and Greg Anderson (of GOATSNAKE) team up again for another offering from SUNN O))). This is the fifth opus from this duo and by now they have clearly established that SUNN O))) is the most vast and crushing foray into anti-music sludge the world has ever seen. This is the musical equivalent of cosmic radiation. If you took the "sound" of radiation as it travels through the vastness of open space (scientists use this type of radiation to "see" cosmic events that happened billions of years ago) and put it to music, you would have SUNN O))). For some the "emptiness" of space might prove a hard metaphor to swallow for sound this densely packed, so if you can't grasp that concept, think of the crushing pressures present inside the sun. Pressure so great it produces visible and invisible radiations that not only light and warm our planet, but can be seen for tens of thousands of light years away as yet another star in the galaxy. This is music on that scale. You only doubt me if you haven't heard it.
