 I had heard that TODAY IS THE DAY were going to move in a "faster" direction with this album but I had no idea they were talking about going so far over the top they were halfway down the other side. Kiss the Pig is an album that takes the Y2K post-apocalyptic grind of bands like TOTAL FXCKING DESTRUCTION and interprets it through quasi-psychedelic lenses (as only TITD can do). Except this psychedelic otherworldness isn't born of peace and love, instead it is born of hate, vileness, and an abhorrence of everything, um, yeah, everything. Misanthropy put to music or maybe music put to misanthropy. Regardless, this is so dark that black metal bands are converting to Christianity after one listen.
