 Polterchrist hail from Philadelphia and have been plying the city of brotherly love with their ruthless death metal for over seven years. This is their second album and it is rife with hyper charged riffing, dual vocal sewer growls, and sadistically fierce rhythms. Surprisingly, there is a definite undercurrent of melody running throughout this album which only enhances its harshness by providing contrast. It also provides the band with a much more complex and ultimately more satisfying sound. Definitely a top notch entry in the death metal sweepstakes.
