Rufio The Comfort of Home (Nitro Records) By: Alex Steininger
Rufio's The Comfort of Home is a solid, well-produced collection of made-for-radio, teenage-appealing suburban punk. But, let that not be a knock on the music or the band, because Rufio does the emo-infused punk quite well, delivering such solid slabs of melodic fury as opener "Out Of Control", a could-be hit, and emotionally-ripe "Mental Games". Though, the overt emotional grip of the band does wear on your nerves and get annoying. Still, with enough glossy guitars and sturdy rhythms, there is enough ear candy to make the complete package work. I'll give it a C.
