Earth Magick (Crash Music)

 Female fronted Finnish Goth rockers Unshine?s eight-track offering is a keyboard-laden, emotionally charged release that liberally borrows from bands like Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, and The Gathering. This quintet?s mid-paced metal seems a bit half-baked, almost sounding like a vocal mismatch with the music. Lethargic even by Goth rock standards, and a tad annoying vocally to boot, EARTH MAGICK is merely a retread trying to cash in on the female singer meets tortured musician factor that is almost beaten to death.
