 James Talley's Nashville City Blues travels the dusty path between soft acoustic country and smoky, club blues and rock 'n' roll. Whether its the steamy punch of the title track, the tenderness of the acoustic "Don't You Feel Low Down," or the stompin' blues jangle of "You Can't Get There from Here," Talley progresses throughout the album, always given his all, and never falling short track after track. I'll give this a B.
