 Pretty, soft melodies with a tender voice behind them, The Higher Burning Fire deliver a captivating collage of acoustics, beauty, and subtle pop. The songs are tight, warm, and melodic, and the album as a whole flows gently from one track to the next, making the album feel like a complete collection of songs, rather than just a bunch of songs thrown together. Here is a warm album that shows indie pop can be soothing and catchy, but well produced and layered as well. I'll give it an A.
