Placebo Black Market Music (Virgin Records) By: Alex Steininger

Placebo's latest, Black Market Music, is a well-thought collection of spacey-pop, guitar-driven walls of noise, and complex, layered textures of rock music, sure to turn fans of rock, pop, and all of their sub-genres, on their heads. Placebo's ability to turn melodic pop, spacey-rock, and lots of noise into a distinct, different, yet familiar sound is intoxicating, instantly hooking you and taking you on a ride that you won't soon forget. I'll give it an A-. 15
