 SOLEFALD take an avant garde approach to black metal-which in this day and age is not even remotely unique. Fortunately they are talented enough that their reinterpretation of the genre is listenable, if not interesting. On a base of typical black trappings SOLEFALD add multiple vocal stylings (including lots of clean vox), atmospheric keys, pop, quirky melodies and even some weird flavors that sound like they could be the soundtrack for a made-for-TV movie. If you are interested in what is new in the black/dark metal scene check this out but if you are looking for something truly inspirational you aren't going to get it here.
