 It's been almost two decades since VENOM first spewed out their noise and fifteen since DEATH upped the ante and gave birth to "death metal" as a genre. Considering the limitations of the sound it continues to amaze me when I hear new bands like ORIGIN who have taken the flame of their forefathers and turned it into an inferno. If you thought you had heard it all, then you are wrong. Dead wrong. ORIGIN use common ingredients like speed, rawness, hate, distortion and technical prowess but their end sound is a amalgamation that stands alone. ORIGIN have the distinction of joining bands like NILE and KRISIUN as ones who have forged recent death metal masterpieces and in doing so keep the music as vital today as when Chuck and company first screamed bloody gore.
