Origin Echoes of Decimation (Relapse) By: Jeb Branin
They say the third time is the charm, but in the case of ORIGIN the third time is the "harm". ORIGIN's third LP Echoes of Decimation is exactly what you would expect from a band whose albums are required by international law to be labeled as "hazardous material". It is every bit the equal of its predecessors in hyper blasting frenzy and uber chaos while upping the ante on song writing and deranged blood-thirst to all new highs. I've actually heard some people complain that ORIGIN is "too fast". I didn't even know that was possible. Too fast? That's like "too heavy". Or "too intense". Or "too great". In other words, it's total crap. Death/grind like this is supposed to sound like it is on the verge of spinning out of control. The fact it never actually does lose control is what makes it so forceful and mind blowing. To be succinct - this album is darn near perfect.
