StarTime International presents Supercuts (StarTime International)

 A collection of sixteen up-and-coming, obscure, and home town favorites, New York-based indie Startime International has comprised a collection of (mostly) New York-based underground bands on one compilation, helping to exposure these bands and expand their fan base. From the dance-induced singer-songwriter pop of Dylan Hicks, sixties throwback-meets-math-rock outfit The Joggers. Garage-pop outfit The Mood Elevators (featuring Brendan Benson on drums). And danceable rock outfit The Capitol Years, to name a few, Supercuts is a solid compilation that, unlike other compilations, actually deserves (and will be) listened to more than once. I'll give it a B.
