Retisonic
Return to Me (Silverthree Sound Recordings)

By: Alex Steininger

Bland, guitar-driven modern rock with an over dominating vocalist who doesn't match the energy of the music, Retisonic's Return To Me leaves a lot to be desired. The band seems to have plenty of enthusiasm and energy, as well as a lot of power to unleash on the listener. But they seem to be pulling back the punches in favor of a more commercial sound. In doing that, though, they lose out on that end, too, creating something too generic, too boring to even strike up the notion of this band receiving commercial play. There is a lot lacking here and too much masking as the music falls apart. I'll give it a D.
